The sell-out Aldi hanging egg chair is swinging back onto the market this weekend on 13th February just in time for us to start getting our gardens ready for spring. Never has a hanging egg chair been so highly anticipated.

You will need to be quick if you want one, these egg-cellent chairs don’t hang around for long! Last year three different drops of the Aldi hanging egg chair all sold out in record time with Aldi reporting record sales each time it’s in stock.

The Ideal Home team found themselves in a virtual waiting room just to enter the Aldi website on the day the hanging egg chair launched last year. This is one special buy drop you’ll want to set an alarm for.

This year the Aldi hanging egg chair is priced at £189.99, £40 more than last year when it was priced at just £149.99. However, despite the price increase, Aldi’s egg chair is still a fraction of the cost of hanging chairs from other leading homeware retailers.

The next cheapest hanging egg chair we could find was B&M’s hanging egg chair priced at £225. While a similar, dare we say almost identical version, at John Lewis & Partners could set you back a whopping £429.

This year’s design features the same rattan design that made it a sellout Aldi special buy over the last three years. The powder-coated frame is weather-resistant, however, to further protect your egg chair against the British weather Aldi is selling the egg chair with a zip up cover for £199.99.

The must-have chair is part of the ongoing outdoor collection, which offers shoppers the chance to make incredible savings on stylish garden furniture this season. The hanging egg chair is just the tip of the garden furniture we’re expecting the brand to offer this year.

Last year Aldi also introduced a 2-seater version of its cult hanging egg chair. We haven’t heard whether this version will be returning this year too, but our fingers are crossed.
