These are the 12 ‘cool girl’-coded Amazon buys that I’ve got my eye on
Amazon is everybody’s go-to place for shopping practical bits and bobs for the home to be with you as early as next day (or same day if you live in a large city!) – everything from clever storage solutions to kitchen appliances. But not many people realise the online retailer has so much stylish home decor to offer, too. You just need to know how to look for it – but to save you the trouble, I’ve done some digging to bring you 12 Amazon ‘cool girl’ buys to add to your basket.
You’d never be able to tell these pieces came from Amazon – and your guests won’t suspect it either. And with Amazon Prime Day currently taking place – ending tomorrow, on the 7th October – I’m keeping an especially close eye on these cool picks to elevate my home without breaking the bank.
I spend a considerable amount of time on Instagram for inspiration and to keep up with the latest home decor trends. It’s here that content creators with the most stylish homes share some of their top ‘cool girl’ Amazon finds, many of which come up repeatedly from one’s list to another.
I’ve picked the best ones and have added a few of my own that I think are worth the investment. And I’d happily add any of them to my own home.
I’ve had this marble salt jar on my wish list for ages. I have a salt mill but this would be so much more convenient for cooking – and it’s just so pretty! You could also use it for sugar.
I’ve included these playful storage drawers in previous round-ups because they are just so cool. They look like something from HAY with their contrasting ball-shaped handles – and there are three colourways to choose from or mix and match.
Vintage wall art is currently highly desirable. But unless you get lucky in a charity shop or know how to find it affordably, it can get a little pricey. This vintage-style framed artwork is a convenient alternative – and there are several pictures to choose from.
Trays of all shapes, sizes and materials are currently trending to catch, hold and display all. This organically shaped chrome tray is perfect for some jewellery and it looks like something from a designer brand.
If you know what to search and what to look for, Amazon is a great place to shop affordardable lighting that looks designer, much like this Scandi-style, retro wall light. There are a few colourways available, but this one is my favourite.
When it comes to ‘cool picks’, they often have a retro or a vintage reference, just like this flip-style desk clock. With more analogue designs recently becoming more and more popular, something like this is right on trend.
Equestrian wall art like this has been hugely popular lately, but it tends to be quite spenny. But not this £30 Amazon piece which even comes framed!
Striped everything has been one of the biggest interior trends of the last couple of years. This striped mug with a matching saucer not only nails the trend, but it will also elevate every tea and coffee time.
No cool girl (or guy) would let a tissue box be on show. That’s why a tissue box cover is a must – and this rattan style has had over 1700 five-star reviews.
Cool girls work smart and opt for genius pieces that kill two birds with one stone and make their life easier, much like this towel holder which also doubles as a candle holder. So simple yet so clever!
This piece of lighting boasts a classic retro lamp shape which is considered something of a design classic. Equipped with a chrome base, it comes in a choice of coloured glass lampshades – but this soft amber shade is the one I’d go for.
Chequered marble coasters can be found in pretty much every cool girl’s flat. And Amazon has got the goods, in several different colourays, too. But this edge black and green version would be my top pick.
Do you know of any other cool girl Amazon buys that should be on my radar (and in my shopping basket)? I’d love to know if I’ve missed any.
