Abu Dhabi Welcomes the World: Zayed National Museum Opens Its Doors

A New Cultural Beacon on Saadiyat Island

Yesterday, Abu Dhabi unveiled a landmark that’s long been anticipated — the Zayed National Museum. Located in the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the museum rises like a modern monument, its sleek steel-winged towers reaching skyward as a symbolic tribute. Designed by the acclaimed architectural firm Foster + Partners, the building’s shape is inspired by a falcon in flight — a nod to a deeply rooted cultural symbol in the UAE.

From above you’ll see five soaring towers — each evocative of a falcon’s feather — that together create a dramatic skyline against the Abu Dhabi coast. As dusk settles, the museum glows, bridging the city’s past and its ambitious future.
