When Adobe abandoned perpetual licenses for Lightroom years ago and moved entirely to a subscription-based model, many photographers were frustrated. That frustration, however, became fertile ground from which a whole range of RAW developers sprang up. One of them is DxO PhotoLab, now in its ninth generation.
