The UK’s travel industry “bore the brunt of Covid” after the government “failed” to step in and protect it, according to former prime minister Theresa May.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) launched its Cities Economic Impact Report (EIR) at the 22nd Global Summit in Riyadh today. Sponsored by Visa, the report shows cities remain the powerhouses of global tourism and will drive the recovery of the sector and economies around the world.
