Today’s Photo Of The Day is “Great Blue Heron” by Charlotte Couchman. Location: Virginia.

“This great blue heron was fishing on the banks of Broad Run, a tributary of the Potomac River in Northern Virginia,” explains Couchman. “I was able to stalk the heron through the bushes from the opposite bank for several minutes before it caught a fish then flew away.”
